Creating a Wiki-How

Creating a Wiki-How

Creating a tutorial for Wiki-How was a great experience. I enjoyed every single bit of it. My topic was “How to Know the Character of Your Enemy (the devil.).” This topic was something that I had always wanted to communicate with my fellow Christians for a long while now. Before this project, I had already began researching this topic. My heart was filled with joy, when I was finally given the opportunity to put my ideas into writing. My topic was inspired by the many questions people usually ask me:
·      If God is real, why is there so much evil in this world?
·      If God is real, why are so many people sick?
·      If God is real, why is there no peace in this world?
There could only be one answer to this and to find the answers I had to dig down deep into the Word of God which is the Bible.  It seemed as though the only way this question would be answered is if I answered it using Biblical evidence. This is what we believe in and we believe it (Bible) contains all the answers. After gathering all my evidence, all I had to do was to communicate my answer to the public. This was a tutorial and I had to write a step by step process of knowing the character of the enemy.
This I believe was the hardest part of my tutorial. My topic was a spiritual idea and needed spiritual answers. There was no step by step process to this. This was not about work; this was about faith. All I could think about was how to turn it into a step by step process tutorial. I then went on Wiki-How and tried to find related topics to mine. I then got access to an article titled “How to Accept Christ as Your Savior.” When I saw this article, I knew it was the answer to all my current struggles. I then began to read it carefully and I realized that though the writer told readers to pray, the rest of the steps had nothing to do with works but with faith. He would tell us to “Understand God’s nature,” or to “taste and see that the gifts of the Lord are good.” Understanding and tasting all had to do with the mind. It also had to do with the heart and with faith. Then Bingo! I knew how to write my article.
The article was not mostly quoted from scripture and was not opinion based, so I had no problem with it at all. After writing my article, the next step was to take photos and then insert them. I also struggled with this for a while. Everything I wrote was all about faith and the spiritual world and I wondered how these pictures where going to be taken. The bases of my article was how the enemy (the devil) was the real cause of all our problem and God had nothing to do with it. Was I going to have my friends dress up as the devil? Or was I going to draw my pictures out? I wondered.            After a long time of thinking, I only had one option left and that’s was to refer back to the previous article I had seen on wiki-how. After taking a second look at it, it hit me. I knew exactly how I was going to relate my photos to my topic. All that I needed now was a camera and my friends. Lucky for me, I own a phone so the camera was not a problem. But, trying to convince my friends to be in my photo did not go so well. Apparently, no one wanted their image to be on the internet. My only option was to find a way, to take a picture of my own self and place it in the article.
As I continued to think about this, two male friends of mine came into my building to visit me and while we were talking, my suite mate joined in on the conversation. I then told them about how all my friends billed out on me when I needed them for photos. They then made the decision to help me. I was so excited; words cannot not express my joy. By the grace of God, I was able to take the photos and insert them in my article. I had so much fun taking the photos with my friends. It felt like we were having a photo shoot. There was so much joy filled in our presence and we laughed the whole time. After the taking the photos, I then edited them on photo shop. Before I thought it would be a complicated process but it was as easy as learning my ABC’s.
I was half way done with my wiki-how project and I couldn't be happier. The last two things I had to do now was to insert the codes in my article and add related links. I again pulled up the wiki-how article about salvation for the third time and followed the coding the writer used. This was not a problem at all, all I had to do was copy and paste. It was a piece of cake with a cherry on top of it. Almost done with my article, I then searched up articles that could be related to mine. Lukcy for me, I found more than five related links and three was all I needed. I was grateful.
My article was complete, at least I thought it was. When I was about to post it, I realized I had forgotten to insert tips and warnings. Boy was I disappointed. When I thought I was almost at the end of my race, I was left behind. But I had to put myself together. I told myself the race was not for the swift but was for those who had the grace of God. I then wrote three tips and three warnings. Wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. There was I at the end of the race receiving my crown of glory.
My article was finally complete! And it was for real this time.

Below is a link to my article and the article I had related to three times in the process of writing my article:
